Jesse Porter is a male writer from New York State currently living in Los Angeles. No stranger to the written word, Jesse has known how to read and write for over twenty years. His writing has appeared on television, on YouTube, on McSweeney’s, on Splitsider, and on people’s dirty car windows.

BIO: Jesse was born in the eighties, and to date has successfully been alive in three other decades as well. After graduating from Ithaca College with a degree in a frame, Jesse moved to Los Angeles to pursue his dream of aspiring to one day write television. Before long, Jesse began writing and performing comedy with the internet sketch group Back of the Class, in which he wasted no time establishing himself as the group’s tallest member. In 2009, Jesse was accepted into the Warner Brothers Television Writers’ Workshop, and in 2010 was hired as a staff writer on the CBS sitcom $#*! My Dad Says.

In 2013, an original sketch show created by Jesse and his Back of the Class collaborators Max and Brett was ordered to pilot by NickMom, Nickelodeon’s new late-night comedy block. The half-hour pilot was shot in Los Angeles in May of 2013, and was rejected by the network in August of 2013, which the guys considered a pretty good run.

From 2013 to 2017, Jesse was on the writing staff of the Dreamworks Animation series The Adventures of Puss In Boots, which premiered on Netflix in 2015.  Since then, Jesse has written for several other animated shows, including Bunnicula (Cartoon Network), Skylanders Academy (Netflix), and Tarzan and Jane (Netflix).

His hobbies include tennis, grocery shopping, and grocery eating.
